Weekend in the desert with no food OR water.

This was our first trip to Grandma's house in Palm Desert. Wilken made it the whole weekend without food or water. We all ate to our hearts content as Grandma and new Fiance, Armen, grilled dinners and cooked breakfasts, but Wilken only had breastmilk the entire time. What a trooper! Armen introduced us to several traditional Armenian dishes which were delicious, which Wilken seemed to enjoy as well (indirectly, that is).

Wilken has progressed even in the last week. Instead of staring around in confused displeasure at his new environment, he was a very happy guy from his first glance at his Grandma's house. In fact, he was so interested in his new house, he decided he once again needed no sleep. During his bedtime routine, he chattered away and stared at his bedroom taking nearly 2 hours each night to fall asleep. Mommy reappeared in the living area several times throughout the bedtime ritual hours much to the family's delight with a bright eyed Wil who was ready for action. Bedtime routine, shmedtime routine..who needs it anyway.

Here's a great shot of Grandma with Wilken. She had just the right touch and adjusted her hold perfectly to keep up with his active and energetic movements.
