Mom, Wil, & "Padre"
We already know Wilken is a Sports Fan. And since Mom has been a loyal Padres fan since her inception to San Diego, it just makes sense that if Wilken is going to root for the Packers in football, he'll also have to root for the Padres in Baseball. On Wednesday night, the Padres clinched the National League Western Division Title. Not only have the Padres won every game that Wil's been to, but now it looks like every year since Wilken's been born, the Padres have won their Division! Is the World Series next?
When we fist told Wil about the National League West Division Championship, he was in total shock (those are very big words to a 4 1/2 month old, ya know...)
But when it sank in and he realized what it really meant, he gave us a big grin and a "thumb's up!"
sorry grandpa, maybe the giants will have better luck next year...

I love it! I can see Wil is ready for Spring Training in '06! By the way, the picture showing him "in total shock" looks EXACTLY like Ryan!
I need to take Wil to some games with me. I haven't seen the padres win at Petco all year. You are taking him to all of the Padres home playoff games?
Wow, Wil is bringing lots of luck to the Padres. Maybe he could make some money as a good luck charm to help fund the diaper expenses.
