Wilken Turns 4!

Happy birthday Wilken! Our big 4 year old is now in the 75% for height and 30% for weight. His favorite place to eat is Souplantation. Other favorites include: playing with vehicles, playing make-believe games about superheros, dress-up, climbing on structures at the park and/or trees, building with blocks, and drawing.
One of his big gifts was his new Spiderman Bike. Here he is in his knight outfit given to him by his Aunt and Uncle who are living in London right now.

We had a small party for Wilken which was Spiderman themed. Grandma V came to stay with us and help us celebrate. We had a few friends and neighbors over for a Saturday brunch party.A compilation album of Spiderman themed songs was given away as a party favor.Elanor talked Wilken into getting a Baskin Robbins ice cream cake.

Here is one little guy trying to pin the spider on the web.After receiving this gift, Wilken exclaimed "that is exactly what I always wanted!" He wanted to play with it immediately. He had been eying it at Target for several months.

All in all it was a great day. We celebrated his birthday in the morning and then went to 2 more parties that day. Three servings of cake and other goodies wired our kids, but they both crashed in the car on the way home.
