Family in February

We had lots of fun company in February. Bubie and Grandpa came for Superbowl Sunday. Wilken frequently displays his "old man dance" to whomever is interested in watching. Someone at school showed this to him and he thinks it is hilarious.

The boys were transfixed by Bubie's injury. Jake would point and say "owie." Wilken asked repeatedly how she shoved the handle of her glasses into her eye. Poor Bubie.

Jake loved reading books with Grandpa.

Jake got his second haircut in preparation for his cousin Phoebe's visit.

The kids loved riding together in the truck.

Despite getting sick, Phoebe and the boys had a great time over their visit. Phoebe and Jake, though 5 months apart, are equal in size. However, Phoebe still easily outwits Jake. He still defers to her and looks to us in confusion when she is able to defeat him in every battle over toys.
We can't wait for their next visit!
Ryan and I wanted to get a video to showcase Jake's language development. Jake still uses lots of sign language and finally says daddy. He also has a name for Wilken now, "Dee Dee." We have no clue as to where he came up with that one.
