The boys started out the day as superheroes, in preparation for their long bike ride up and down our street for the annual 4th of July parade. Every year, our street has this parade. The neighborhood D.J. blares familiar patriotic tunes while of children and parents, in red white ensembles using using various modes of transportation, travel up and down the street. Later in the evening, we went to the Keenan's street for a block party to celebrate the holiday. They had a jumpee, everyone brought appetizers, drinks, and bbq. Lots of fun. The evening ended on our balcony as the 4 of us watched the local fireworks display.
