My mom is a procrastinator. Oh. I didn't realize that this was common knowledge. She tried to pull me into her little "put it off until tomorrow" world once. She said I was going to be a little procrastinator like her because I put off turning in utero until I was too big to turn, hence the breech C-section delivery. I couldn't turn because of her uterus for Pete's sake. She also tried to say that I was going to be a laid back little guy because I wasn't as active in utero. I had NO room woman...what with the shape of your housing and with all that you ate to fatten me up, what was I supposed to do other than stretch my little cramped neck every so often. I needed some more room, bundle of energy that I am. What my dad and I (and everyone else on the planet who really knows her) realize is that tomorrow never comes. Well it does eventually but not for a good amount of time..way more time than my daddy would like.
The point? We went to Bakersfield two whole weeks ago and she has not posted one picture of our adventures or my very cute face. And because she is so late, there are other blogs to post. So she is going to skimp on some of the descriptions of our fantastic trip to Bakersfield to visit not only Bubie and Grandpa, but also Aunt Marcie and Uncle Nate.
My mom and I went to Bakersfield on our own, while daddy went to Vegas for work. It was a blast. First of all, I was wonderful in the car both ways if I do say so myself. On the way home I slept the entire way! On the way there, we drove with my friend Megan and her mommy and went to Megan's second birthday party over the weekend. Here is a picture of me with my Bubie in a Princess hat of all things. Please do not use this to blackmail me in highschool.
Last time I came to Bakersfield, I had some adjustment problems. Not this time. I was all smiles and ready to play upon arriving to Bubie and Grandpa's house. My Grandpa said he was preparing himself to be rejected by me when I first saw him. Yeah right! I showed him by giving him a huge smile and trying to pull out a few of his whiskers. I even tried to borrow his glasses. Here we are in the morning. I am a bit sleepy- eyed still.
I got to see my Aunt Marcie and my Uncle Nate too this trip! I loved my Aunt's voice and turned my head whenever I heard her talking.

My Uncle Nate is really funny. This is just a hint of the fun we will have in years to come.

Not only did my Bubie put me to sleep almost every nap (and at bedtime) with the magical sleep dance, but she also helped my mommy feed me. I tried sweet potatoes for the very first time. It was a lot less messy with Bubie holding my arms. I loved my new food. So did Uncle Nate and Aunt Marcie's dog Willie, who hovered around waiting for leftovers.

It was a great trip, although I couldn't wait to get home to see my daddy!
