I'm Standing, I'm Standing! Preschool Officiallly begins!

What does our mischievous little imp have going on these days? This mobile little guy is into everything. At 8 months, with just two weeks of crawling under his belt, he is crawling up stairs, zipping around the house, and even standing up. He gets such a kick out of himself whenever he stands. It may look like daddy's legs are holding him up, but they aren't.

At 8 1/2 months he has figured out his brother's old push toys. He screams whenever he hits a wall (because he can't turn around) or when someone else (mainly his brother) tries to take them away from him. He is truly obsessed with pushing all things. This summer, Wilken began preschool officially. He loves it! Mommy is enjoying her special time with Jake as well. During the summer the school has lots of themed days where the kids get to dress up or do special activities (i.e. western day, Disney day, explorer day, swimming days, etc.) Here his is as his favorite explorer, Diego.

Here he is with a slicked back 50's hairdo. He messed it up on the way to school though because he wanted to wear it his "regular" way. We spend lots of times outdoors these days. It is hot this summer, so the kids also spend a lot of naked time in the blow up pool. Like his big brother, Jake loves the water. Wilken's swimming skills continue to take off. He can swim from him mommy or daddy to the side or the stairs of his Aunt and Uncle's pool. On a sad note, Aunt Traci, Uncle Ken, David, and Grey relocated to London this summer for an 18 month cultural immersion for Uncle Ken's job. We can't wait to see them on their visits home!
