Time with Daddy

The boys went to the Zoo and then to Chucky Cheese with Daddy so that Mommy could go to a day and night long bachelorette party. As is typical, they were perfectly behaved for their daddy. Ryan and the boys engaged in a game of Superheros.

June Days, 2009

Wilken began his first of a series of experiments without his training wheels. Daddy was so easygoing about taking the training wheels on and off whenever Wilken asked and also with running alongside him to prevent any big falls.

Jake is now about 20 months old. He is a character. He unabashedly copies everything his older brother does. He is very rough and tumble, and will tackle Wilken or Wilken's friends to the ground. He laughs easily and continues to be very good natured. However, he is incredibly stubborn. He is nearly impossible to redirect or distract when he is set on something and continues to have incredible temper tantrums nearly daily. He loves to play ball, play with vehicles, and play make-believe games (especially with toy dragons). Bryce came over for a day long playdate. We started the day at Legoland.

We then went back home where the boys played all day long and had dinner. We then drove Bryce back to meet his mommy and daddy even though there were pleas for a sleepover. We will attempt that another time. Here are the boys in their new blow up pool. They love to get wet. Due to water shortages, the water is left in the pool for several days before replacing it. It gets very very dingy after a day or two. The boys drying off after swimming.
