We only have 2 photos to document the Kaufman's return for Christmas Break. This is Jake and Wilken being pulled around for a make-shift sled ride by Cousins Grey and David. Wilken was ecstatic to have his cousins, Aunt and Uncle home for a visit. Jake wondered who in the world these people were, but quickly warmed up to them.
Jake's new favorite thing to munch on....pizza crust. Jake has determined already that he quite particular about foods. He loves bread. White bread that is. He does not touch anything green, and even despises his once loved orange vegetable group. He likes bananas, cheese, ice cream, yogurt, applesauce, grapes, and cheerios. He is definitely a work in progress.
Jake also has been running (since about 13 months). He has lots of words including mommy, mo (more), ba (ball). He says iss for nurse, biss for bird, and biss for just about anything for which he doesn't have a word. He knows the sounds for cow (boo), elephant (trumpeting sound with sign), and snake. He has multiple signs (more, all done, tree, airplane, cat, fish, dog, bunny, etc.)
Wilken had his first holiday concert at preschool. It was hysterical. Of course we have no video to post, as were using a friends' camera (which doesn't have video capacity). He was the "star" of the show. Throughout each Christmas and Hanukkah song, he jumped up and down enthusiastically while belting out the songs exactly one verse behind the rest of the group. I don't remember the last time we laughed so hard.
Wilken took his very first picture with Santa! Jake was too nervous. He asked for a remote control car for Christmas.
Christmas was spent in Bakersfield. Wilken got a remote control Hummer from Santa and Jake received his own set of kiddie golf clubs.
Here are the younger cousins in a head lock.
A nice shot of Wilken and cousin Phoebe.
Jake loved his second Christmas, although, he found all of the excitement exhausting. He fell asleep during dinner.
